New York City

New York City.

I know, I know, I’m not supposed to use my blog as a personal rant post.

I’m supposed to use words that enhance search and all the other stuff you’re supposed to do.

So here goes: advertising, design, brand, copy writing, social media, tweeting, Facebook and art direction. Did I mention brand?

I just got back from a week in New York City. And as the photo demonstrates I finally made it to Madison Avenue.

We went everywhere. We didn’t just stay in Manhattan and we walked to as much as we could and as a result a couple of revelations occurred.

New York City is safer than Seattle, it’s cleaner than Seattle and in general the people are nicer. Seattle is tired, there are crazy people and homeless people everywhere. I saw one homeless person on the streets in NYC.

I’m not so naïve as to think it doesn’t have it’s share of issues but the differences were striking.

We need a mayor and a city council with a spine and the will to make a difference around here and not just worry about bike lanes and plastic bags.

Rant over.

Advertising.

Check it out.
